This was completed as part of a high school design class. We were instructed to create a soda brand with packaging designs for a bottle and carrier. I designed a boutique soda brand called 'Nifty' with a brand aesthetic emulating Americana diner signs of the 1950s. I hand drew the main word mark and used an accompanying bold sans-serif font and small embellishments to emulate the look of vintage neon signs.
The final product was the result of a truly exhaustive creative process—including drafting hundreds of different word marks, symbols, emblems, and more, and gathering extensive feedback and criticism from teachers and peers. Over the course of a month, I refined my ideas into a final soda bottle label and carrier.
